Introduction

Heralded as “a masterful soloist instilling lines with bite, subtlety and bracing virtuosity,” Grammy-nominated flutist Joshua Smith enjoys a multifaceted career as a leading soloist, recitalist, chamber musician and teacher. Smith first came to national attention at the age of 20 when he was appointed principal flute of The Cleveland Orchestra. Intrigued with exploring new ways of connecting with audiences, he recently spearheaded the release of a double vinyl classical chamber music LP, recorded in a local tavern.
