Paul Ferguson
CWRU Music Department, received a Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Akron and a Master of Music degree from Eastman School of Music. He taught a Jazz Methods class for music education majors and assisted Rayburn Wright with basic arranging classes and Ramon Ricker with classes in Jazz Theory as a teaching assistant at Eastman. He also taught arranging and conducted weekly master classes in trombone as a member of the Eastman Summer Jazz Faculty from 1986 until 1988. Performance experiences include the Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller Orchestras (lead trombone and arranger), the American Wind Symphony (associate principal trombonist), and several Broadway touring productions and Las Vegas type shows. He is principal trombonist of the Canton Symphony and Cleveland Jazz Orchestra. He was appointed to the CWRU faculty in 1988.
