Jeanette Davis Ostrander
Jeanette Davis Ostrander,Theory, holds a Bachelor of Music in piano with high honors and a master’s degree in piano from CIM. She began her piano studies at the age of three with Anne Vanko Liva of Scranton, PA. While at the Cleveland Institute of Music, she studied with Dr.Thomas Hecht, Paul Schenly, Sandra Shapiro and Dr.Marshall Griffith.
In 1997, Jeanette and her husband, Leonard Ostrander, were awarded second prize in the National Ellis Duo Piano Competition. Jeanette is an active member of the Cleveland Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and obtained her colleague certificate from the AGO in 2006. She is the organist for the First Congregational church in Hudson and is the accompanist for Cleveland’s newest opera company, Opera per tutti. Jeanette has held a full-time theory faculty position at CIM since 1994.
