Distance Learning Studio Manager and Multimedia Technologist
CIM Distance Learning (DL) is looking for a creative, dynamic video and new media professional to become our DL Studio Manager and Multimedia Technologist. We teach K-12 students all over North America and collaborate with conservatories worldwide.
This key individual will be responsible for the operation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrading of all DL video conference, video, audio, streaming, lighting, computer, network and other systems used in the department. The Technologist collaborates with other DL staff and other CIM staff in the creation of electronic multimedia materials and providing technical support for all DL functions and events.
The Technologist continually trains and supervises 20 to 40 CIM student technicians in video and audio studio production while leading the execution of approximately 500 interactive video conferences each calendar year.
Qualified candidate will have a Bachelors degree and 1 to 3 years paid experience in video production and post production. Operating experience with video-conference, internet streaming and other distance-learning technologies preferred. A self generated interest in expanding your skills and knowledge is essential.
During an on-site interview and evaluation, you will be asked to:
- Set-up a single camera interview with supplemental, 3 point lighting using a Lowel Omni kit.
- Execute a short editing exercise using your choice of Apple Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Add titles to a completed edit using your choice of Apple Motion or Adobe AfterEffects.
- Initiate an export of a completed edit for display online.
- Pre-visualize multi-camera coverage of a string quartet.
