CIM Announces New Director of Development

CLEVELAND, OHIO, 04/21/10 - The Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) is pleased to announce the appointment of MEGAN BUSH GRANSON to the position of Director of Development. Ms. Granson will assume the role on May 3, 2010.

"I welcome the addition of Ms. Megan Granson to our management team as Director of Development," said Joel Smirnoff, President of CIM. "Ms. Granson brings to us her great expertise in the development field, her penetrating intelligence her knowledge of Cleveland (it being her home town) and her great enthusiasm for the uniqueness of our conservatory and a genuine concern for its future. I am looking forward with great excitement to working with her."

Megan Bush Granson comes to CIM from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where she served as Associate Director, Major Gifts, in the Yale Office of Development. She built and maintained many relationships for the University and had numerous successes in raising major gifts from Yale's alumni, parents and friends in New York and Connecticut. During her tenure, she served as a fellow of Pierson College and led initiatives such as a staff training program, philanthropic strategic planning and development with a major financial institution. She also organized campaign committee volunteer meetings in the New York metropolitan area.

Prior to joining Yale, Ms. Granson was Senior Director of Development at the Weatherhead School of Management in Cleveland, where she also earned a master's degree and was Director of Major Gifts, working on presidential priorities at Case Western Reserve University. She was the Director of Alumni Relations at Hawken School and Manager, Business Development with RPM, Inc. in Medina, Ohio.

Ms. Granson is a native of Solon, Ohio and is pleased to return to the Cleveland area.
