21-year-old Trifonov Reviewed by Times for Carnegie Recital Debut

Winner of the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition, pianist Daniil Trifonov made his triumphant return to Carnegie Hall in his solo recital debut Feb. 5, just one day after signing with Deutsche Grammophone.

To promote the event, Mr. Trifonov, who studies at CIM with Sergei Babayan, was interviewed by The New York Times about his daily routine, his career and his compositions. Read the article about the young phenom titled Losing Baby Teeth in Concert.
Mr. Trifonov also sat down with CIM President Joel Smirnoff and Vivian Goodman of local NPR affiliate WKSU to talk about this performance, his feelings for Chopin and Tchaikovsky, and his impressions of Cleveland.
