CIM WOODWIND ENSEMBLES will perform under the direction of ELIZABETH CAMUS on Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. in Mixon Hall.
Elizabeth Camus is a member of the oboe faculty at CIM and has been second oboist with The Cleveland Orchestra since 1979. Her teachers were John Mack, Stevens Hewitt and John de Lancie. She was previously a faculty member of Georgia State University, Cleveland State University, Kent State University and Baldwin Wallace College, and held summer positions at Brevard Music Center and the Lake George Opera Festival. Ms. Camus has taught master classes in several states including at the Aspen Music Festival and in Canada at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. She was principal oboist of the San Antonio and Atlanta Symphonies before coming to Cleveland. Ms. Camus appeared as soloist with the New Orleans Philharmonic, The Cleveland Orchestra and the Atlanta Symphony. She coaches woodwinds and chamber music for the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra.
