Visiting CIM

The Cleveland Institute of Music is located in the heart of University Circle, adjacent to the Case Western Reserve University campus. University Circle, Northeast Ohio's cultural center, was named one of America's prettiest neighborhoods by Forbes Magazine. We are proud to be part of this amazing community focused on the arts, education and enrichment. CIM is walking distance from Severance Hall, home to The Cleveland Orchestra, The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Botanical Garden, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Western Reserve Historical Society, Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Art. A variety of restaurants and coffee shops are also within this walkable community.

Prospective students and parents are welcome to visit the Cleveland Institute of Music throughout the year. The Admission Office is open Monday through Friday with guided tours offered daily by appointment. Please contact the Admission Office to arrange a tour.

Parking at CIM

CIM provides free parking for patrons in the lot next to the building on Hazel Drive. Although the school has ample parking, capacity crowds are expected for some events, necessitating the need for off campus parking. Metered spaces are available on Hazel Drive, just outside of the building. For more parking options around University Circle, click here.

The Cleveland Institute of Music is approximately five miles directly east of downtown Cleveland, off Euclid Avenue, at the corner of East Boulevard and Hazel Drive.
