The CIM Advantage: Alumni continued to win major jobs in July

From left, violinists Paul Kim, Justine Campagna, and Manuel Lok were among the several CIM graduates who were appointed to major orchestras in July 2023.

The power of a CIM education was again on vibrant display in July, as numerous graduates of the school were appointed to major orchestras and universities across the U.S. and Canada.

Among the CIM alumni jobs celebrated by the school this month were appointments to the adventurous Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the nationally renowned orchestras of Detroit, Toledo, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, and Vancouver.

CIM also applauds the several others in July who earned teaching posts at important Midwest universities or took prizes at major international competitions.

“When it comes to outcomes, CIM’s track record is unparalleled,” said CIM President & CEO Paul W. Hogle. “The world’s most talented young musicians consistently choose a CIM education knowing it will help them achieve the careers of their dreams.”

This year – and this summer, in particular – have been especially good for CIM alumni. In June, CIM announced news of nearly 100 jobs earned by CIM graduates over the previous 12 months.

Today’s news stands in addition to that list, and includes several ensembles, institutions, and competitions not featured earlier.

These alumni join the ranks of thousands of CIM alumni now commanding the world’s most celebrated stages as soloists, conductors, and ensemble members; composing important, impactful music; producing award-winning recordings; and leading the field as teachers, administrators, and other professionals.

A list of July appointments is below. Individual photos can be provided upon request. Please note that several appointments could not be shared, as they await confirmation. If you are a CIM graduate with job news to share, please visit cim.edu/alumni.
