Ms. Whitely is a locally sought after chamber musician and was recently appointed as an accompanist for the 2011 and 2013 Cooper International Violin Competition at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Both years the violinists she collaborated with took first place in the competition, winning a performance with the Cleveland Orchestra and more. Whitely has collaborated with many notable performers, including violinist Chad Hoopes. In years past, Whitely played a wide variety of chamber music in Hudson, Ohio, as a staff accompanist for CIM’s ENCORE School for Strings. She has held positions on the piano faculty at the Willoughby Fine Arts Association as well as Painesville Four Oaks Music. For over 10 years, she has worked as the director of music for St. Hubert’s Episcopal Church, the lead pianist for St. Gabriel Catholic Church and has also enjoyed many engagements as the music director for local theater productions throughout northeastern Ohio.
