ANNOUNCEMENTS: All graduating students and their parents will receive a commencement announcement, The RSVP card will be included in the student's Announcement only, and should be used to order tickets. If you would like additional announcements to mail, they are available in the Concerts and Events Office or online here (PDF).

TICKETS: Tickets are required for all guests to be admitted to the commencement ceremony. In an effort to avoid duplicate orders, students are responsible for ordering the tickets for Commencement for family and friends. Graduating students do not need to order a ticket for themselves. Please coordinate the total number needed with your parents. There is a limit of 6 tickets for the commencement ceremony so order early. Tickets will go quickly.

CAPS AND GOWNS: May be picked up in the Mail Room beginning Wednesday, May 5th. Please iron your robe and hang it on a hanger for 24 hours prior to Commencement to eliminate wrinkles.

COMMENCEMENT REHEARSAL: Friday, May 14, 2010; 1:00 p.m. in Kulas Hall.
Everyone should be there!! If you are absolutely unable to attend the rehearsal and expect to participate in the ceremony, it is imperative that you inform the Registrar's Office prior to the day of the rehearsal.

GRADUATION CLASS PHOTO: Immediately following the rehearsal, the Alumni Association and Marketing will be orchestrating class photographs. We ask that you dress nicely (no shorts, no jeans, no flip-flops, no t-shirts) for this photo which will be taken on Kulas stage. To order copies of these pictures, please download and print the Photo Form found on the main Commencement web page. Please return this to the Marketing Office (Room N110 in the Lennon Building) or turn it in with your cap and gown following Commencement.

HONORS CONVOCATION: Friday, May 14th, 4:30 p.m. in Mixon Hall
The same RSVP card found in the student's Commencement Announcement is used for both Commencement and Honors Convocation. Please remember to return the response card to Concerts and Events by May 3. The Honors Convocation is the event at which all annual prizes will be awarded. The performers for Honors Convocation are an alumni honoree and the Presser Scholar. Please plan to stay/return for this special event so that you may support the achievements of your classmates and colleagues and our Alumni. Reception following.

COMMENCEMENT PARKING: Beginning at 8:30 a.m., both the Hazel Annex Lot and Lot 43 will be open for families and friends attending the Commencement ceremony. Upon arrival at the parking lot, individuals should tell the attendant on duty they are "Attending the CIM Commencement." PLEASE PLAN FOR TRAFFIC IN THE CIRCLE, AS THERE WILL BE MANY PEOPLE VISITING FOR OTHER EVENTS.

COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY: Saturday, May 15th, 10:00 am in Kulas Hall
All participating students must check in at 9:15 am by Room 201. The lines will be formed as people are checked in, in the upstairs hallway outside room 229. Chris Morron and Hallie Moore will be assisting in the line-up.

Please return your cap, gown and hood to Room 113 immediately following the ceremony. If you do not return the cap, gown and hood you will be charged the rental fee.

CIM President Joel Smirnoff will confer degrees on 164 graduates during CIM's 2010 Commencement Ceremony.

Alumni Connections Concert: From Baroque to Broadway - May 16, 3 pm

The lineup of performers is impressive, including several members of The Cleveland Orchestra who are CIM graduates. Their performances will offer a wide variety of styles, featuring works from the Baroque to Broadway and Jazz. A unique silent auction will take place before the concert and at intermission, with music provided by harpist Jodi Guinn.
