New Music Ensemble

The CIM New Music Ensemble, directed by Keith Fitch, is committed to presenting the music by a wide variety of living composers, while at the same time programming significant works of the 20th century, all performed to the highest possible standard.

The ensemble often hosts guest composers, who are in residence for several days, working with the performers, while meeting with composition students as well. Additionally, the ensemble presents concerts at Cleveland's Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA), continuing CIM's commitment to community outreach.

Participation in the ensemble is through audition; concerts take place at least once a semester. Other recent appearances by the ensemble include CIM's tributes to Margaret Brouwer and Donald Erb.
