Holiday Circlefest at CIM, A Pictorial Review
This year’s festive event kicked off at 1pm in Kulas Hall with the Cleveland Institute of Music Chamber Orchestra performing Prokofiev’s Peter & the Wolf, a symphonic fairy tale with narration by guest artist Dr. Michael Mauldin, and conducted by S. Mordecai Fuhrman.
“Offbeat” Radio Celebrates 10th Season
Beginning in January, CIM’s unique radio show, Offbeat, celebrates its 10th season, providing an entertaining combination of interesting guests, slightly off-the-wall commentary and a lively behind-the-scenes tour of classical music. Hosted by Cavani String Quartet cellist Merry Peckham, the show airs on 104.9 FM Cleveland (wclv.org nationwide) at 11am on Saturday mornings.
Marin Alsop conducts at CIM
Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra members had a reason to be thankful on Tuesday, November 26, when world-renowned conductor Marin Alsop was able to take time out of her busy schedule to work with them at a rehearsal in CIM’s Kulas Hall.
