III. Finding & Evaluating InformationFind ArticlesPeriodical indexesTo find articles in music-related journals/magazines, you may use a database such as Music Index or RILM Abstracts of Music. These databases index (list) articles in music-related publications such as journals and magazines. For each article, the database lists the author, title, source, date, page number and the subject(s) of the article. These databases may be searched by keyword or by a specific field (author, title, and subject). RILM Abstracts provides a paragraph description of the subject of the article.
Where are Music Index & RILM? On the library's home pages under "Research." They are accessible from any campus-networked computer.
