This list describes resources on jobs and graduate studies in the field of music that are available to students in the CIM Library. Listings in Magazines

Job postings are often found in journals or magazines dedicated to a particular instrument or subject. CIM has a substantial collection of these titles. See the library's Periodical List for specific titles. Check these regularly for job postings. Music Index may be searched for current articles on specific careers in music. The following titles specialize in posting job notices. Current magazines and journals are located by the newspaper racks.

Composer/USA(National Assoc. of Composer) Lists competitions, grants, and calls for scores. Location: Periodical stacks

International Musician The primary source for orchestral positions in the U.S. and some foreign countries. Also lists teaching positions, graduate assistantships and festivals Location: Current issue on reserve shelf.

Opera America Newsline Describes opportunities for vocalists including internships and opportunities in opera production. Location: Periodical stacks

Opportunity Update (American Music Center) Another source for composers. Lists grants, call for competitions and graduate schools composition fellowships. Location: Periodical stacks

Das Orchester (Germany) Listings provide access to orchestral positions, assistantships, and festivals in Europe. Location: Periodical stacks
