What's New at the Robinson Music Library?
Exciting additions to library services and collections.
- Introducing the Robinson Music Library
- Students and faculty members will find a completely renovated library as they return to campus for the Fall semester.Our space has expanded to include a lower level, where the Library Media Center is located. A beautiful design combined with enhanced technology and improved lighting and furnishings work together to create an attractive and inviting library conducive to study and expanding your musical horizons. Our space has expanded to include a lower level, where the Library Media Center is located. You will find dedicated study space, redesigned circulation desk and a completely different layout with dedicated study areas. Enjoy the beautiful view of the Music Garden while you study.
- Request a library tour
- The library staff will be providing individual and scheduled tours of our facility. To make arrangements for a tour, please contact Bonnie Houser Eggers or stop by either the Circulation or Reference desks.
- Welcome Denise Smith Green, our Media Librarian
- The library is glad to introduce Denise Smith Green. Denise will oversee all aspects of the Robinson Library Media Center as well as catalogs the library’s Audio Visual materials. Denise holds degrees in Music Education, Voice Performance, and Library and Information Science from Bowling Green State University, The University of Akron, and Kent State University respectively.
- Submit Interlibrary loan requests online
- It is now even easier to request a score, book, journal article or dissertation which the Case/CIM Libraries do not hold. Use the new online Interlibrary Loan Form to submit your requests. James Hilton, the Interlibrary loan manager, will keep you informed on the status of your request via email.
- Introducing IPA Source
- The Robinson Music Library now subscribes to IPA Source, the web's largest library of IPA transcriptions and literal translations of opera aria, art song, and Latin liturgical texts. This resource, developed by Bard Suverkrop, provides translations to 1732 arts songs, 333 opera texts as well as Latin texts. The resource features mp3 recordings of selected texts and a guide to resources for the vocal performer. IPA Source may be browsed by composer, poet, and title. One may also browse by opera or Latin text. Translations may be printed or saved to a local disk.
