Grove Music Online has been the leading online resource for music research since its inception in 2001. It includes the full texts of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, 2nd Edition (2001), The New Grove Dictionary of Opera (1992), and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz, 2nd Edition (2001), as well as all subsequent updates and emendations. Including 50,000 signed articles and 28,000 biographies contributed by over 6,000 scholars from around the world. In 2008, Grove Music Online moved to Oxford Music Online. It maintains its editorial leadership and will be expanded in the coming years to include other Grove dictionaries, including Early Music, AmeriGrove, and Musical Instruments. IPA source offers a collection of transcriptions and literal translations of opera aria, art song, and Latin liturgical texts. The resource features mp3 recordings of selected texts and a guide to resources for the vocal performer. IPA Source may be browsed by composer, poet, and title. One may also browse by opera or Latin text. Translations may be printed or saved to a local disk.

Provides electronic, full text access to the back files of approximately 670 scholarly periodicals in a variety of disciplines in humanities, arts and sciences, social sciences, and business, including 56 music-related journals. Coverage begins with the first issue of the journal. A moving wall determines the latest issue available. The moving wall represents the time period between the last issue available in JSTOR and the most recently published issue of a journal. It is specified by publishers in their license agreements with JSTOR, and generally ranges from three to five years. See E-Journal Portal to access the full-text for more current years.
