A: Items requested through interlibrary loan usually take a minimum of two weeks to arrive. If you are in need of items sooner than two weeks from the request date, it may be necessary to explore other avenues of acquiring the items.

A: ILL materials have specific due dates set by the lending library. If you need an item beyond the due date, contact Nicole Thomas in advance to request an extension (the lending library will either accept or deny this request). If ILL materials are returned after the due date, any late fees charged by the lending library will become the responsibility of the borrower.

A: Dissertations are typically held by the libraries of the educational institutions where they were completed. Some libraries maintain microfilm copies of dissertations. Many libraries will lend a copy (print or microfilm) of a dissertation. The library has a microfilm reader/printer.

A: Digital Dissertations (ProQuest), an index to dissertations, does provide access to digital dissertations submitted electronically by Case Western Reserve University. However, at this time CWRU does not subscribe to ProQuest's larger electronic collection of dissertations.

You might try searching the library catalog at the degree-granting institution. Some university libraries maintain digital copies of their institution's dissertations.

As a last resort, copies of dissertations indexed in Digital Dissertations may be purchased through the service.

A: The Robinson Music Library is not a member of OhioLink. Instead, the Robinson Music Library directly provides ILL services to CIM conservatory students and faculty members (see above).

OhioLink is accessible to residents of Cuyahoga County through the Cuyahoga County Public Library.
