Cleveland Institute of Music Offers Summer Performances
While classes may be out of session, the music continues all summer long at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
Throughout June and July, CIM's campus will come alive with free public performances featuring talented young musicians from across the country. The concerts showcase the culmination of the conservatory's acclaimed summer programs, giving audiences a chance to experience exceptional artistry, fresh perspectives, and the next generation of musical talent.
"One of the most exciting things about CIM is that extraordinary music-making is happening here year-round," said Scott Harrison, provost and executive vice president of the Cleveland Institute of Music. "Our summer programs bring together gifted young artists who are eager to challenge themselves, explore new ideas and learn from world-class faculty. These performances offer audiences a unique opportunity to witness artistic growth in real time while enjoying remarkable music."
The summer concert season begins June 20 with the Chamber Music Intensive Final Concert at 2 p.m. in Mixon Hall. Led by co-artistic directors Todd Phillips and Si-Yan Li, the week-long program immerses participants in chamber music through daily coaching sessions, collaborative rehearsals and enrichment activities. The music continues June 21 with the Advanced String Quartet Intensive Final Concert at 2 p.m. in Mixon Hall. Following a week of intensive study and coaching, advanced string quartets will share their work with audiences. Register at https://tinyurl.com/ysnu8w9d.
On June 24, violinists will take the stage for the Violin Peak Performance Final Concert at 7 p.m. in Mixon Hall. CIM's Young Artist Piano Seminar will feature several public performances throughout the week, highlighting both distinguished faculty artists and advanced young pianists.

Designed for advanced pianists ages 10 to 18, the Young Artist Piano Seminar challenges students through intensive study, performance opportunities and mentorship from acclaimed artists.
