The CIM Opera Theater continues its fairy tale season with a production of the popular opera Hänsel & Gretel by composer Englebert Humperdinck.
This magical version of the Grimm fairy tale thrills children with visions of sweets and mystical creatures and delights adults with its beautiful and sophisticated score. CIM will present this masterpiece in grand style - telling the tale of how a courageous brother and sister defeat a wonderfully wicked witch. With the blessing of 14 protective angels, good triumphs over evil.
Sung in German, a projected translation ensures you won't miss a minute of the drama and humor of this well-loved story.
CIM Supports Harvest for Hunger
Inspired by the tale of Hänsel & Gretel and their family's struggle with hunger in tough times, a battle faced by 1 in 6 Americans today, CIM is participating in the 2012 Harvest for Hunger campaign to benefit the Cleveland Foodbank. We invite you to join us by bringing a non-perishable item to CIM on any of the performance days to help those in need in our community.
