Recording Services offers audio recording and live broadcast capabilities in both Kulas and Mixon Halls as well as various other performance venues in University Circle.
Sound is captured using the finest microphones including those from Sennheiser, Schoeps, Neumann and DPA/B&K. Sound can be captured at both standard CD-quality and high definition 24 bit 96 kHz. Only the best professional equipment is utilized including Millennia Media microphone preamplifiers, Lavry, Apogee and Mytek Digital Analog to Digital Converters, ATC or Lipinski monitors and more.
Besides our base services that we provide to faculty, staff and students, we are also able to provide audio for video and audio for broadcast in mono, stereo or 5.1 surround sound via the Conrad Control Room, the first THX PM3 Certified studio in a music conservatory worldwide.
If you are interested in recording your own performances on location, Recording Services has compiled this guide of recommended devices to help guide your decision.
