Recording Arts & Services offers audio recording and live broadcast capabilities in Kulas Hall and Mixon Hall, and other performance venues in University Circle.
Sound is captured using Sennheiser, Schoeps, Neumann and DPA/B&K microphones and recordings can be standard CD-quality or high definition 24 bit 96 kHz. We use equipment from Millennia Media, Lavry, Apogee and Mytek, ATC and Lipinski.
Besides the services we provide to faculty, staff and students, we are also able to provide audio for video and audio for broadcast via the Conrad Control Room, the first ever THX PM3 Certified studio in a music conservatory.
Audio editing is accomplished using Magix's Sequoia Digital Audio Workstation along with complement digital audio plug-ins.
