Paul Yancich Timpani Institute
June 8 - 13, 2009
A week-long seminar designed to give percussion students the insight and knowledge they need to succeed. Led by Paul Yancich, co-head of the Percussion Dept. at CIM and Principal Timpanist of the Cleveland Orchestra, the seminar will accept eight college-level students. (more...)

Summer Chamber Music
June 15 - 26, 2009
CIM Summer Chamber Music is a 10-day experience for pianists and string players interested in exploring music outside of their solo venues. The rich and varied works available in the chamber music repertoire provide endless opportunities to explore and expand one’s musical horizons. Students will have the chance to meet and work with other young musicians of similar abilities and musical interests. (more...)

Summer Sonata
June 15 - 26, 2009
Summer Sonata is a two-week program for pianists, age 10-18, which provides the ideal environment for young students to nourish and improve their musical and piano skills. Central to the experience is regular private lessons, participation in Masters Classes with renown teachers and guest artists, as well as daily supervised practice sessions. (more...)

Sergei Babayan International Piano Academy
The Sergei Babayan International Piano Academy accepts exceptionally talented pianists from around the world to study with Mr. Babayan, the Mr. and Mrs. John D. Gilliam Artist-in-Residence at The Cleveland Institute of Music. The Academy features public master classes and concludes with a marathon recital performed by the participants. (more...)

The Young Composers Program
June 14 - 20, 2009
This week-long program is an exciting new opportunity for composers ages 14-19. Composers take classes in compositional craft, receive private lessons and work Peter gilbert, Karola Obermueller and Orianna Webb. Evenings will include listening sessions and seminars on a variety of topics. The week culminates in a live performance and professional CD recording of a work by each student performed by members of the resident ensemble. (more...)
