How To Give

Thank you for considering a gift to the Cleveland Institute of Music. Alumni, parents and friends make gifts to CIM with many kinds of assets and in a variety of forms. Options include cash, checks, credit card payments, gifts of marketable securities and other assets.

CIM accepts Visa and Mastercard through the online giving site, and can accept American Express and Discover by phone. Please feel free to call the Development Department at (216) 791-5000, ext. 360 for further details.

If you'd like to donate by phone, please call our Development Office at (216) 791-5000, ext. 360. Our normal office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Checks should be made payable to "Cleveland Institute of Music" and mailed to CIM at 11021 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106 along with this printable Gift Form to donate to CIM by mail.

A gift of appreciated securities that you have held for more than one year is frequently the most economic way to give. You will be eligible to take a federal income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift, for up to 30% of your adjusted gross income, and will not have to recognize the appreciation as capital gain.

To facilitate you gift of securities, you or the transferring broker should provide the donor's name and complete address and the name of number of securities to be transferred. You may use our faxable or mailable securities gift notification form, provide a letter, or send an e-mail to Barbara Hosta, Gift Coordinator.
