Scholarships

There are two types of endowed scholarships at CIM: Conservatory Scholarships, which benefit degree-seeking students in the Conservatory; and Preparatory Scholarships, which benefit students taking lessons through CIM's Preparatory and Continuing Education Division.

A minimum of $10,000 is needed to endow a Conservatory Scholarship, whereas a minimum of $5,000 is needed to endow a Preparatory Scholarship. Additional contributions may be made to an endowed scholarship at any time, through either an outright or a planned gift.

Once a scholarship has been endowed, CIM allows the fund to accrue interest for one fiscal year before payout begins.

To create an endowed scholarship, download the scholarship form. If you would like to make a gift to an endowed fund, or if you have any questions, please contact David A. Welshhans, Assistant Director of Development, by e-mail or phone at (216) 795-3165.
