Part-time Piano Faculty

The Preparatory and Continuing Education Division of the Cleveland Institute of Music invites applications for a part-time Artist-Teacher of Piano who possesses a commitment and devotion to excellence in the training and artistic development of young pianists. It is CIM's intention to offer a temporary part-time position to the successful candidate for the 2014/2015 academic year. Responsibilities of this position, in addition to teaching, include the ability to attract and retain quality students, attendance at all faculty meetings, student recitals, exams and other departmental and Preparatory Department events.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in music with a major in piano performance or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of successful teaching of piano at the preparatory level
  • Demonstrable performance experience as a solo pianist and/or in a chamber music capacity

Start Date: August 25, 2014

  • Video uploads of:
    -student performances relevant to successful teaching.
    - Candidates solo or chamber music performances in music from at least two style periods.
  • additional supporting materials indicating teaching experience and student achievements
