The Cleveland Institute of Music is seeking a highly organized individual with superior interpersonal and communication skills to be a full-time Admission Counselor. This person is the first point of contact for prospective conservatory students and related parties. Responsibilities include maintaining databases of prospective students, processing correspondence and admission applications, coordinating campus tours and auditions, overseeing work-study students, and general clerical duties. A bachelor's degree or two years in high education admission is preferred as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office. The Admission Office also uses SunGard SCT Power CAMPUS and Decision Desk. Work hours for this position are M-F, 9-5, but longer hours are required on audition days (mostly Sundays). Some travel is required for college fairs, typically 5-7 per year.
