Director of Preparatory and Continuing Education

The Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) invites nominations and applications for the position of Director of Preparatory and Continuing Education. CIM is an independent conservatory which offers preparatory, undergraduate and graduate programs in music. The Director of Preparatory and Continuing Education is responsible for the entire operation of this division and will collaborate with department chairs on items, including student recruitment and curricular development, as well as oversee the fiscal aspects of all programs. The Director will provide leadership, vision, and support to the students, their families, faculty and staff. This position reports directly to the President and supervises 75+ faculty, as well as two and a half staff positions, serving 1,300 students. Applicants should have a background in music, an advanced degree, and a proven background in management, leadership, and community engagement. The candidate will have a strong commitment to classical music and high quality music education for students of all ages.
