Outstanding conservatory musicians present mixed programs of chamber music amid the museum’s collections for a unique and intimate experience—concerts regularly feature instruments from the museum’s keyboard collection.

From standard repertoire to unknown gems, these early-evening, hour-long performances are a delightful after-work encounter or the start of a night out. Programs announced the week of the performance.

CIM Student and Alumna Make Music with Art Installation

August 7, 2013

Watch CIM collaborative piano student Fangfei Chen and violinist Jinjoo Cho, a recent CIM graduate, make good use of one of the Play Me, I’m Yours Cleveland pianos in this video taken on a beautiful summer night in Cleveland’s Uptown community.

Play Me, I'm Yours Cleveland | CIM student Fangfei Chen, piano, and CIM alumna Jinjoo Cho, violin

The video was shot on July 19, 2013, and shared by the artistic mind behind the Play Me, I’m Yours art installation, British artist Luke Jerram.

CIM is participating in the Play Me, I’m Yours Cleveland art installation, which coincides with the Cleveland International Piano Competition, by offering an educational take on piano decoration portion of the project. A Plexiglas “window” was installed on the upright piano enabling players to see the inner workings of the instrument. A model and a numbered legend provides further guidance on how a piano works.

Visit our piano at 11021 East Boulevard in University Circle and upload your images or videos on the CIM page of the Play Me, I’m Yours Cleveland website.
