    The popular series of monthly concerts in the galleries featuring young artists from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the joint program with Case Western Reserve University’s early and baroque music programs enters its fifth season. Outstanding conservatory musicians present mixed programs of chamber music amid the museum’s collections for a unique and intimate experience—concerts regularly feature instruments from the museum’s keyboard collection.

    From standard repertoire to unknown gems, these early-evening, hour-long performances are a delightful after-work encounter or the start of a night out. Programs announced the week of the performance.

LIVE STREAM: Sergei Babayan and Martha Argerich July 1

Pianist Sergei Babayan, CIM’s John D. Gilliam Artist-in-Residence, performs in recital for two pianos with the legendary Martha Argerich as part of the Lugano Festival’s 12th Annual Martha Argerich Project in Switzerland on Monday, July 1. This event will be streamed live for the public at 2:30 p.m. Eastern time.

The two will perform Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, Ballet Suite for two pianos, transcribed by Mr. Babayan.

The Lugano Festival features seven chamber music concerts at the RSI Auditorium, two symphony concerts at the Palazzo dei Congressi with the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, six recitals at the Evangelical church and a concert in the Sala delle Palme of the Grand Hôtel Villa Castagnola.
