Lynn Johnson Appointed Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management

January 16, 2013

CLEVELAND, OHIO – 01-16-13 – Following a nation-wide search, the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) announced the appointment of Lynn Johnson as Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management.

“I’m delighted to welcome Lynn Johnson to join our team in Admissions and Enrollment as we move through the current admission cycle and plan for the future,” said Conservatory Dean Adrian Daly. “Lynn is a truly seasoned music admissions professional who is well known and well respected in the field. She will direct and co-ordinate all operational activities and strategic initiatives in support of admission to the Conservatory and the Young Artist Program, contributing to the mission, educational goals and objectives of CIM. I’m excited at the opportunities that this position will bring, as we move to new models of integration for admissions, enrollment, retention and student success.”

Lynn Johnson comes to CIM from The Hartt School of The University of Hartford where she has been the Director of Admissions in 2003, in addition to serving on the adjunct faculty in the Music Education Division. Prior to joining The Hartt School, Ms. Johnson has held positions in admissions and public relations at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, Brevard (NC) Music Center, and Carnegie Mellon University (PA), from where she received degrees in bassoon performance and in arts management. She has been on the adjunct faculties of Mars Hill College and the University of North Carolina-Asheville and was a regular member of the symphonies of Asheville, Hendersonville, and Brevard for many years.

She begins her role as CIM Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management on March 4.
