He has received acclaim from distinguished composers, conductors, and critics for his interpretations of contemporary works. He has performed in solo concerts and with chamber orchestras throughout the region and has presented clarinet programs for the Rainbow Series of The Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall.

On the CIM faculty since 1976, Mr. Gangaleʼs students have gone on to pursue music degrees at many major universities including conservatories and Ivy League schools. He is nationally known as a woodwind repair technician specializing in the acoustics of woodwind instruments. Mr. Gangale has held faculty positions at Wooster College, CWRU, and The Cleveland State University. He holds the B.M.E from Baldwin-Wallace and the M.M. from The Cleveland Institute of Music, where he also pursued doctoral studies under Theodore Johnson.
