  • CIM@CMA: Music in the Galleries

    The popular series of monthly concerts in the galleries featuring young artists from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the joint program with Case Western Reserve University’s early and baroque music programs enters its fifth season. Outstanding conservatory musicians present mixed programs of chamber music amid the museum’s collections for a unique and intimate experience—concerts regularly feature instruments from the museum’s keyboard collection.

    From standard repertoire to unknown gems, these early-evening, hour-long performances are a delightful after-work encounter or the start of a night out. Programs announced the week of the performance.

  • Fall Conservatory Concerto Competition

    Students compete for an opportunity to perform a concerto with the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra in Spring 2017. 

Piano. Lycée of Music and Arts in Cluj, a school for young artists; student of Galina Loke. Master of Art degree, Gh. Dima Conservatory; piano studies with Ninuca Osanu Pop, theory with Markos Albert and harmony with Salay Miklos. Author of The Most Current Methods of Teaching Piano to Beginners, published in 1982. An accomplished soloist and recital pianist, has performed frequently in recitals, with orchestras, and with chamber music artists in Romania, Vienna and Cleveland. Has conducted piano master classes. Has taught a number of successful teacher pianists who currently perform and teach throughout Europe. Has been featured on WBKC's radio and website, with a solo recital and an interview with Paul Gothard, Director of Fine Arts at Lake Erie College. Appointed to CIM faculty, 1990.
