The greatness of renowned composers and performers is easily taken for granted unless we spend some time at the other end of the talent spectrum.

The CIM New Music Ensemble, directed by Keith Fitch, is committed to presenting the music by a wide variety of living composers, while at the same time programming significant works of the 20th century, all performed to the highest possible standard.

Watch the CIM New Music Ensemble performing Eugene O'Brien's Taking Measures from their concert of April 11, 2010:

The ensemble often hosts guest composers, who are in residence for several days, working with the performers, meeting with composition students, and presenting their work to the public in open forums. Additionally, the ensemble annually presents concerts at Cleveland's Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), continuing CIM's commitment to community outreach.

Participation in the ensemble is through audition; concerts take place throughout the academic year.
