The popular series of monthly concerts in the galleries featuring young artists from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the joint program with Case Western Reserve University’s early and baroque music programs enters its fifth season. Outstanding conservatory musicians present mixed programs of chamber music amid the museum’s collections for a unique and intimate experience—concerts regularly feature instruments from the museum’s keyboard collection.

From standard repertoire to unknown gems, these early-evening, hour-long performances are a delightful after-work encounter or the start of a night out. Programs announced the week of the performance.

A fresh perspective does wonders for your life and music - and travel can be the best way to see things differently. That's why we offer the opportunity to study at selected institutions in other countries. CIM partners with the schools below to set up direct reciprocal exchanges, which are simultaneous student-for-student exchanges involving two teachers of the same instrument.

How to Study Abroad

If you're a CIM student interested in spending a semester at one of our partner schools, you'll start by discussing the possibility with your principal teacher. Your teacher will be able to recommend international colleagues who would be a good fit for you (See Conservatory Catalog, Study Abroad). You'll need to go through the normal admission process at the institution where you want to study, and you might also need to prepare by studying a new language or taking other prerequisite classes.

How to Study at CIM

If you're an international student interested in studying at CIM, we have several options for you. Undergraduates may enroll in our Artist Certificate Program; graduate students enter the Professional Studies Program. Consult your current school's international-exchange personnel and the CIM Conservatory Catalog (International Students) for details. You must apply to CIM by March 15 for the following academic year. A DVD audition is required. For more information, please contact CIM Admission's Office: admission@cim.edu.
