Ali King was appointed CIM's first-ever director of digital media in July 2021. In this newly created role, she will elevate and expand CIM’s digital presence, establish new digital programs, develop curriculum and teach digital media skills to the Institute’s students and serve as CIM’s digital ambassador to the global community.

Originally from St. Louis and a classically trained pianist, King has previously worked in user experience research at Comcast and arts advocacy at The Pew Charitable Trusts. In 2017, she founded and ran a locally-sourced stationery company, Groundswell Greetings, which was acquired by Philadelphia-based retailer Pomelo in 2020.
