Introduction

The Cavani Quartet is on sabbatical for the 2018-19 academic year.

Mari Sato, violinist, is a member of the Cavani String Quartet and winner of numerous awards and prizes, including the Naumburg Chamber Music Award. Ms. Sato has toured throughout the United States and abroad with her quartet, including appearances at Carnegie Hall and the Festival L'Epau in France. She is a former artist-in-residence at the University of Texas and is currently visiting-artist at the University of Southern Illinois, Carbondale.
