Introduction

Internationally recognized for his energetic presence, imaginative programming and compelling musicianship, Vinay Parameswaran is one of the most exciting and versatile young conductors on the podium today. As assistant conductor of The Cleveland Orchestra, he leads several dozen concerts each season at Severance Hall, Blossom Music Festival and on tour. He also serves as music director of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra.

Parameswaran joins CIM as conducting faculty, where he will work directly with graduate level conducting students. He will teach those who already possess solid fundamental training and work to develop advanced skills and musicianship in their chosen area of concentration.
