Application & Audition

Placement auditions are required for this program. To ensure the health and safety of our community, Spring 2021 Percussion Ensemble applicants will submit a recorded audition through our online application, due by January 4. Applications received after this date will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Students should submit a video of a snare drum solo and a mallet instrument solo (marimba or xylophone preferred) of their choice. You may also submit an optional third solo on another instrument of choice (i.e. drum set, quads or timpani). Videos taken using a smartphone or other mobile device will be sufficient.

If you have questions about audition repertoire, please contact Luke Rinderknecht at luke.rinderknecht@cim.edu. Please reach out to the Preparatory team at preparatory@cim.edu for more information about the application and audition process or to inquire about the program
