This page includes bi-weekly updates of Covid-19 testing data for the Cleveland Institute of Music, as well as links to data from our campus partner Case Western Reserve University, Cuyahoga County and the state of Ohio.
CIM conducted entry testing for all in-person and hybrid students the Fall 2020 semester, but only those who were symptomatic or had close contact with someone who was confirmed positive were tested. For Spring 2021, CIM conducted student entry testing again, and will also do surveillance testing every other week throughout the semester. Approximately 5% of students will be randomly selected during each testing period, and slightly more than half of those will be residents of 1609 Hazel. In addition, woodwind and brass players participating in orchestra cycles rehearsing during the testing period will also be tested.
