Remote Work Through May 1 

  • As of March 16, only essential employees should report to work in person. Supervisors have worked with team members to determine essential personnel or functions.  

  • Everyone else should work remotely. It is expected that you will be generally available during your regular work hours. Please coordinate with your supervisor if you need to make any adjustments.  

  • If your regular work cannot be performed remotely and isn’t deemed essential, you will be compensated as usual.  

  • Update April 3: Due to the extension of Ohio's stay-at-home order, remote work will continue through May 1.  

  • If you have questions that aren’t addressed in the emails sent on March 12March 15 and April 3, or need more individualized answers, please contact Human Resources at dept-hr@cim.edu. (Using the team email address will allow for a more timely response.) 

Technology Resources 

  • If you need help with routine IT matters (things you would normally use the Reliable Group Help Desk for), please contact them by phone (216.373.7768) or email (helpdesk@reliablesgrp.com). If you have your CIM-issued computer, you can also use the tray utility as usual. If you need to reach CIM’s IT team, please don’t email them individually, but use the CIM help email address. This will help our colleagues manage responses most efficiently during a busy time.  

  • If you need access to files on shared or personal network drives that you did not have an opportunity to move to the cloud, you may be able to access them via Citrix. (If you haven’t used Citrix recently, the log-in process has changed.) For assistance with this, email CIM IT at help@cim.edu.  

  • IT shared information via email on March 11 about Microsoft Teams, which is a full-featured program that allows for video conferencing, audio calls, chat, and group file storage (useful for workgroup collaboration). Microsoft’s “how to” information and help videos are available here. The downloadable PDF Quick Start guide is also helpful for any new Teams user. (If you use the browser-based version of Teams, there is a known issue that results in some users being rotated 90° in Microsoft Edge.) 

  • A microsite is available, offering technology-related resources and guidelines.  

  • Note that many internet providers and cell phone carriers have agreed to provide enhanced services at no additional cost, or at a low cost, for at least the next 30-60 days. Learn more about the extra steps providers are taking at this time:

Timesheets and Paychecks 

  • Pay dates will continue as scheduled.  

  • All timesheets much be submitted electronically. Because most CIM staff are working remotely, paper timesheets cannot be accepted. Please email your completed timesheet to your supervisor.  

  • You can download the Excel version of your timesheet from the ADP portal. Find the timesheets in the Forms box on the homepage. You can complete it electronically (type your name in the signature box), or you can print and complete it on paper, then scan. (There are several free or low-cost scanning apps for iPhone and Android.)  

Invoices and Expenditures
