Tickets & Box Office Hours: All tickets – including free seating passes – are available online only at cim.edu/events. Free seating passes are required for faculty and orchestra concerts in Mixon Hall and Kulas Hall. Seating pass reservations by phone or in-person will be available one week prior to each event through the CIM Box Office. The Box Office is open 10am-3pm Monday-Friday. The Box Office will re-open one hour prior to the event for walk-up sales and will-call only. Phone calls cannot be answered during pre-concert sales. 

Payment: CIM accepts Visa, Discover, MasterCard, American Express, cash or checks made payable to the Cleveland Institute of Music. A $1 nonrefundable handling fee is charged for each ticket purchased using a credit card via phone and in-person and $1.50 per ticket in all online transactions.

When is the box office open?

The Box Office is open from 10am-3pm Monday-Friday. Our online sales are available 24/7 at cim.edu/events.

Is accessible seating available?

At CIM, we are committed to making our concerts and events accessible to all patrons. To help you have the best concert experience, please reach out to the box office by calling 216.795.3211 or by emailing boxoffice@cim.edu to request accessible seating or inquire about our facilities. 

Does CIM mail tickets?

All tickets are automatically held at Will Call. Opera tickets can be mailed by request only.

What is Will-Call?

Will-call is when you chose to leave your tickets in the hands of the Box Office, and come and pick them up before the concert that evening. Seating pass reservations are automatically sent to will-call. Opera tickets are mailed by request only. 

Will-call opens one hour prior to the concert start time. At this time patrons can pick up their tickets, or buy tickets at the door. Please note that phone calls will not be answered during this time.

Does CIM give refunds?

All sales are final. If you cannot attend a concert, please call the Box Office and they can send you a letter for a tax deductible donation for the ticket price.

Can I reserve my tickets for CIM events held outside of the institute?

No, the CIM Box Office handles tickets for only performances held at CIM. All other tickets for events at Severance, Maltz, or any other partner institutions can be obtained through the venues' respective box offices.

Can I exchange my opera tickets?

Yes! Provided we have 48 hours’ notice, you can call the Box Office and exchange seats for another night of the same opera. Please note that the same seats are not guaranteed.

What if I lost my tickets?

Please call the box office at 216.795.3211 if you have lost your tickets.

Does CIM have a dress code?

Please wear whatever you are comfortable in.
