The most demanding education provides the most opportunities and options for talented students. A rigorous academic program combined with a rigorous course of music study provides a solid foundation upon which to make future choices. In a cooperative educational alliance, schedules are constructed so that the student completes academic course work during the morning hours at area schools. The afternoons are filled with music courses and practice time.

A Young Artist, with the proper coursework, may be eligible to enter CIM at the sophomore level.

The music faculty for the Young Artist Program is drawn from distinguished artist faculty of the conservatory of The Cleveland Institute of Music that includes 37 members of The Cleveland Orchestra.

A required, on-site visit gives parents and students a good perspective of the philosophy and internal workings of the program as well as an opportunity to visit the schools.
