Academy

The Academy at the Cleveland Institute of Music is a comprehensive program for students who are ready to advance their skills, further their love of music and connect with like-minded peers. The Academy provides a holistic classical music education in a creative and collaborative environment for pre-kindergarten through high school students whose unique talents, perspectives and love for music are nurtured and supported by exceptional instruction within an encouraging community.

Every student who loves music and is eager to work hard at their musical craft can thrive in the Academy. Participation in this highly focused program, centered around Saturday classes, rehearsals, and performances, will set the stage for future success in any field of study.

Wednesday Offerings 

Expansion Focus: 

• The Academy at CIM is Expanding! For the first time since its launch in 2022, students enrolled in the Academy can now choose courses offered on Saturdays and Wednesdays! Courses in the central curricular pillars of Musicianship, Ensemble, and Performance will be offered on both days.  

Flexibility Focus: 

• The Academy at CIM attracts high-level performers of all ages, many of whom need flexibility in scheduling to achieve their dreams and potential.
