From young children to adult learners, all can explore their love for music, hone their artistry, and achieve their musical goals through study at CIM. At every level, you’ll find inspired teaching by creative faculty, a focused music education, and access to personal development and education resources.  

Centered around the comprehensive Academy, Preparatory & Public Programs also offers a Youth Program for beginning students just starting their musical journey, private lessons for adult learners, summer learning, and opportunities for professional development.

The Academy

The Academy offers passionate and focused young musicians an opportunity to explore their musical interests, grow in a dedicated community, and master the tools to succeed in whatever path they choose, regardless of their ultimate career goal.

Musical Pathway Fellowship

Music Pathway Fellowship

Designed for students entering grades 5-12, Music Pathway Fellowships provides ongoing, multi-year support to students and families, including comprehensive music instruction delivered by CIM faculty.

Youth Program

Beginner students through 5th grade benefit from our Youth Program, a precursor to the Academy, which includes ensemble experience, private lessons and musicianship classes.

Young Artist Program

Young Artists study with conservatory faculty in a specialized half-day curriculum. Young Artists benefit from immersive training through the conservatory, participating in lessons, chamber music, ensembles and classes to prepare for college auditions. 

Summer Programs

Summer Programs

In the summertime, we offer specialty programming in music theory and composition; private lessons for all ages, including adult learners; and host the Sphinx Organization’s Performance Academy for young string musicians.
