Private Lessons for Adults

Preparatory & Public Programs at CIM offers individual instruction to adult learners with a wide variety of skill levels, from adult beginners to professional musicians. Adult students can take applied lessons on any string, woodwind, brass, or percussion instruments, as well as piano, voice, guitar, harp, composition, and music theory. Lessons are offered weekly in 30-, 45- or 60-minute increments.

As a first step, we encourage interested students to thoroughly research our word-class faculty to find the best fit. Learn more about how to enroll in private lessons.

CIM’s Future of Music Faculty Fellowship is a first-of-its-kind career development initiative for Black and Latinx music professionals considering and/or currently pursuing an academic career. Powered by the Sphinx Venture Fund, the competitive Fellowship spotlights and prepares future faculty leaders who will influence generations of musicians.
