CIM's Antonio Pompa-Baldi plays at Van Cliburn Memorial Concert

Pianist, Silver Medalist in the 2001 Van Cliburn Competition and member of the CIM faculty Antonio Pompa-Baldi joined several of his peers on Thursday, February 27, 2014, to perform a Memorial Concert in honor of the great Van Cliburn.

The tribute, hosted by The Cliburn Foundation was held in the new Sundance Square Plaza in downtown Fort Worth from 5pm to 8:30pm and featured recitals by eight Cliburn Competition award winners. The event marked the one-year anniversary of the legendary pianist's death.

CIM recognized Cliburn in 2012 for his contributions to the world of classical music by awarding him with an 2012 Honorary Doctorate.
