CIM Adds Eaton’s Katrina Redmond to Board of Trustees

The Cleveland Institute of Music’s Board of Trustees elected Katrina Redmond to a three-year term at its Tuesday, June 8, 2021, meeting. Redmond is senior vice president and chief information officer for Eaton, a global power management company.

“It is a real pleasure to welcome Katrina Redmond as a CIM Trustee,” said CIM Board Chair Susan A. Rothmann, PhD. “Although she has only been in Cleveland a short time, it is already clear she will have a lasting impact on our community. I’m grateful for her commitment to CIM as it forges its second century of empowering the world’s most talented classical music students to fulfill their dreams and potential.”

CIM President & CEO Paul W. Hogle added: “Katrina’s enthusiasm for CIM’s vision to be the future of classical music is remarkable, and we are thrilled to have her join our Board of Trustees.”

Redmond, who joined Eaton in 2021, is responsible for the enterprise information technology strategy and execution. Prior to Eaton, she worked for Hubbell, where she served as vice president and CIO. Throughout her career, she has guided digital transformations and global e-commerce solutions, and delivered global enterprise system implementations. Redmond has held IT leadership roles at ABB, GE Grid Solutions, GE Industrial Solutions and GE Plastics.

Redmond received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and psychology from the University of Georgia. She later received a Master of Science degree in industrial engineering from the Southern Polytechnic State University. She has served on the GE Women in Technology Board and received a CIO 100 Award in 2013.
