Cleveland Institute of Music Academy Announces Spring 2026 Open Houses
Families and young musicians are invited to explore the vibrant musical community of the Cleveland Institute of Music Academy during its upcoming Spring 2026 Open Houses. Designed for students at different stages of their musical journeys, these events offer a firsthand look at the Academy’s exceptional training programs, faculty, and student experience.
Whether students are just beginning their musical studies or preparing for advanced training, the Academy provides a nurturing environment where young artists can grow, collaborate, and thrive.
Upper Academy Open House
Sunday, March 15 | 2:00–4:00 PM
For students in grades 6–12
Student musicians in grades 6–12 and their families are invited to spend an afternoon discovering the Academy’s Upper Academy program. Guests will have the opportunity to meet faculty members, connect with current students and families, and learn more about the Academy’s comprehensive music training.
The event will also feature a recital performed by current Upper Academy students, offering visitors a glimpse into the artistry and dedication of the program’s young musicians.
Families interested in attending are encouraged to register in advance.
Lower Academy Open House
Saturday, April 11 | 11:00 AM–1:00 PM
For students in grades Pre-K–5
The Lower Academy Open House welcomes families with younger musicians in grades Pre-K through 5. This event provides a chance to observe classes, meet Academy families and faculty, and experience performances by current Lower Academy students.
Visitors will learn how the program introduces young students to music through engaging instruction, creative exploration, and a supportive community of educators and families.
Families will also receive information about how to join the Academy and begin their musical journey.
Both open houses offer a unique opportunity to experience the energy and excellence of the Cleveland Institute of Music community and discover how the Academy supports young musicians at every stage of their development.
