Congratulations Graduates!

At CIM's ninetieth annual Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, the class of 2015 was treated to a keynote address by American composer and musical legend, Gunther Schuller and musical performances by CIM students, who played a new piece Schuller composed specially for the occasion.

A. Malachi Mixon III, who served 17 years as CIM's Chairman of the Board of Trustees received an Honorary Doctorate, and alums Glenn Fischthal and Frank Rosenwein accepted distinguished alumni and alumni achievement awards, respectively. On Sunday afternoon, graduates from the Preparatory and Continuing Education Division were honored and Amy Nathan, author of The Young Musician's Survival Guide and The Music Parent's Survival Guide, gave the commencement speech.
